The Centre has state-of-the-art infrastructure having facilities like Tool Room having the latest CNC, VMC Machines, to provide manufacturing/production of quality components with mass production, Product Design & Development, Fabrication of Special Purpose Machines, Gauges, Tooling’s, Jigs and Fixture, etc. for the industry. NABL accredited labs as per ISO: 17025 requirement in the field of Mechanical Testing including Metallurgy, Chemical Testing, Mechanical Measurements & Calibration facilities, Photometric Testing.
Besides this, the institute has also ventured into short term job-specific courses like CAD/CAM, CNC programming and machining, etc. which has found widespread acceptance in the region. Over the number of years, the Centre has built up capabilities to assist the industry of region to increase in productivity, upgrade the quality of its products, enabling them to achieve global competitiveness. Our Polytechnic is industry interactive and the students have sufficient opportunity for getting exposure in the latest and emerging technologies & other market-driven skills for their better employability/placement in the industry. At present, we are running three years (03) of Regular Diploma courses in Computer Science & Engineering, Automobile Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Our Polytechnic ranked among the top 10 Polytechnics in the State. M/s Maruti Suzuki India Pvt. Ltd. has been recruiting our students as DET from the last many years. Other companies M/s Volvo (India), M/s Tata, Rockman, osho forge, Subios, Big Ben, Metro Tyres, M/S International Tractors Limited, M/S Hero Cycles, M/S Avon Cycles, M/S New Swan, M/S Ace Micromatics , Guru Nanak Auto group of industries Many More. Have also been regularly visiting our institute for placement of our students.
Research and Development Centre for Bicycle and Sewing Machine (Polytechnic College wing) came into existence in year 2001. The Polytechnic College is a Technical Education Wing of Research and Development for Bicycle and Sewing Machine Ludhiana. The R&D Centre was established in 1983 by Punjab Government with the assistance of UNDP/UNIDO.
