ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The admission to the Diploma level Courses shall be online counseling (3 Round) on the basis of merit of qualifying examination.
The Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training will be holding counselling for admission to Ist Year and 2ndYear (LEET) of Regular and Part Time Diploma level Engineering Courses.
At the closure of second round of Online counselling, the vacant seats, if any, shall be filled at level of the institutes in the third round of counselling

Eligibility for admission
1. Diploma in Engineering level courses (Ist Year)
Student should be passed 10th standard/SSC examination and should have obtained at least 35% marks in qualifying examination as prescribed by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi in the approval process handbook 2020-21. A part from the above basic educational qualifications, the general eligibility criteria shall be as contained in Punjab Government, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chandigarh Notification No. DTE-CBONOTI/1/2020-CONDUCT/ 574 Date 01-07- 2020 available on Board’s website.
2. 2nd year of Diploma through Lateral Entry
I. Candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with Mathematics/Biology as a subject.
II. OR 10+2 Science (with Mathematics as one of the subject) or 10+2 Science with Technical Vocational as a subject.
III. OR 10th+2 years ITI Course with appropriate trade in that order shall be eligible for admission to second year Diploma courses of appropriate program.
Admission to LEET seats shall be made on the basis of relative merit in the qualifying examination mentioned above. It is further provided that seats remaining unfilled on the basis of eligibility criteria mentioned above shall be filled on the basis of inter-semerit.
IV. 10+2 Vocational examination in various branches from a board recognized or established by Central /State Government through legislation.
V. Two years certificate course from SantLongowal Institute of Engg. and Technology, Longowal and have Punjab Domicile.
VI. Two years certificate course in Skill Technician (Machinist), Skill Technician (Machine Maintenance) & Quality Insurance Inspector from R&D Centre for Bicycle & Sewing Machine, Ludhiana.

3. a. 10+2 Vocational examination in various branches from a board recognized or established by Central /State Government through legislation.
b.Two year Certificate Courses from SantLongowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal.
c. Two year certificate course in Skilled Technician (Mechanist), Skilled Technician (Machine Maintenance) & Quality Insurance inspector form R&D Centre for Bicycle and Sewing Machine Ludhiana.
Note:

Candidates must bring the following certificates when reporting to the institute:
1. Original Certificates:
Qualifying Examination Detail Marks Sheet. Matriculation Certificates (Date of Birth). Character Certificate from institutions last attended. Proof of Residence/Domicile Certificate. Certificate in support of claim under reserved category. Income Certificate, if admitted under Tuition Fee waiver seat/Reserved Category in support of claim under reserved category.
2. Attested copies of above certificates and two recent stamp size photograph.Candidates who fail to produce the requisite documents will not be admitted.

Research and Development Centre for Bicycle and Sewing Machine (Polytechnic College wing) came into existence in year 2001. The Polytechnic College is a Technical Education Wing of Research and Development for Bicycle and Sewing Machine Ludhiana. The R&D Centre was established in 1983 by Punjab Government with the assistance of UNDP/UNIDO.
